Delete Pages from PDF

Remove the pages you do not need — click them one by one, or let the tool pick up blank pages left behind by duplex scanning. The rest stays in a single PDF. Everything runs in your browser, so the file is never uploaded.

How to delete pages from a PDF

Upload the PDF. It is opened by your browser only — nothing is transmitted.
Mark the pages. Click a thumbnail to mark it, or press “Find blank pages” to mark empty pages automatically. Switch to “Keep only marked” if you would rather pick the pages to keep.
Save. The marked pages are dropped and the remaining pages stay in one PDF, in their original order.

Why this one is different

It finds the blank pages for you. Duplex scanners save an empty back side for every sheet, and most tools make you hunt them down by eye. Here one button marks every page that has no text and almost no ink, so you only review.
No upload, ever. Removing a page from a contract, a payslip or a medical letter should not mean sending it to a stranger's server.
The rest of the file is left alone. Pages are dropped in place instead of rebuilding the document, so the text stays selectable, the images keep their quality and the form fields on the remaining pages survive.

Remove blank pages from a scanned PDF

Duplex scanners save one page for every side of every sheet, so a two-sided document scanned in duplex mode often ends up with an empty page after each real one. A 120-sheet report comes back as 240 pages, half of them blank — and deleting them by hand is slow, because blank pages look identical in a page list.
This tool renders every page small, checks whether the page has any selectable text, and measures how much of it is covered by ink. A page with no text and almost no ink is treated as blank, which is usually exactly the reverse side your scanner added. Nothing is deleted automatically: you review the marks, uncheck anything that is a deliberate separator, and save. The pages you keep keep their original order, text and image quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does “Find blank pages” work?

Each page is rendered small and checked two ways: does it contain any selectable text, and how much of it is covered by ink. A page with no text and almost no ink is treated as blank. Nothing is deleted automatically — the pages are only marked, so you can unmark a page that happens to be a real separator before saving.

Will the pages I keep lose quality?

No. The remaining pages are not re-rendered or re-compressed; only the unwanted page objects are removed from the file.

Can I delete all pages?

No. A PDF cannot be empty, so the tool stops you when every page is marked and asks you to keep at least one.

Can I extract pages into a new file instead?

Yes — switch to “Keep only marked”, mark the pages you want to keep, and save. The result is those pages in one file. If you need several separate files, use our Split PDF by Ranges tool.

The PDF is password-protected — can I still edit it?

Not directly: a locked file cannot be written. The page detects this and offers our Unlock PDF tool; unlock it with the password you know and you will come straight back here with the file already loaded.

Is it safe to delete pages from a private document here?

Yes, and safer than on most tools: the file is never uploaded. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will still work.

How do I delete a page from a PDF and save it?

Upload the PDF, click every page you want to remove, then press Save PDF. The marked pages are dropped and the download contains the rest in their original order — you do not have to export, re-import or rebuild anything.

Can I remove several pages at once?

Yes. Click pages one by one, use Select all + Invert to remove most of a document, or press Find blank pages to mark every empty page in one go. There is no limit on how many pages you delete, as long as at least one page is left.
